5052 Aluminum Sheet in H32 temper has very good corrosion resistance to seawater and marine and industrial atmosphere. It also has very good weldability and good cold formability
5052 aluminum sheet plate is a non-heat treatable alloy that is weldable. It is hardened by cold work. It has good forming characteristics and good corrosion resistance, including resistance to salt water.
For many years, until the advent of 5083 and 5086, this alloy was the highest strength non-heat-treatable alloy commercially available. Although easily welded, it is not recommended for brazing and soldering applications.
Excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in marine applications. Adapts to most mechanical and finishing processes although the heavier anodic films may take on a yellowish cast. Fair machining with the proper set-up.
